Public Places Where We’ve Cried

In 2014, right after I graduated from college, I started the public places where I’ve cried project to document every place in New York City where I’ve shed a tear or two or just straight up balled my eyes out. Since then, I’ve created a public version of this project for anyone to edit.

This isn’t like Humans of New York. It’s not artistic and curated tragedy porn and you don’t have to have a certain “look” to post. It’s just raw data about how we’re all humans dealing with the shitty things life throws us.

Eventually, I’m hoping this will turn into a bigger project. Maybe one day, it’ll even have website with a domain name that doesn’t include .wordpress.com. Until then, click on the little box on the top right corner of the map to open the full view and add your stories.
